Position Functions:
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior galley staff.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness by maintaining hygiene standards and sanitizing workspaces.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies.
- Support senior chefs in preparing and presenting dishes for guests and crew.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of food services.
- Learn kitchen equipment maintenance and assist in ensuring all tools are properly cleaned and stored.
- Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall operational improvements of the galley.
- Shadow senior kitchen staff to develop leadership and management skills in galley operations.
Position Minimum Requirements:
- A strong interest in the culinary arts with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well in a team, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
- Physical stamina to work long hours, including standing for extended periods.
- Fluency in conversational English with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is a plus but not mandatory.
