Position Functions:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including lighting, power, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and ensure timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Support the installation and testing of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Monitor the condition of electrical systems and report any potential issues to supervisors.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical components to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Deck and Engineering teams to ensure seamless operations across departments.
- Follow company protocols and safety guidelines during all maintenance activities.
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay updated on shipboard emergency procedures.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections as directed by supervisors.
Position Minimum Requirements:
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring is required; formal training or certification is preferred.
- Experience in electrical maintenance or repair is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Fluency in conversational English with a team-oriented, proactive approach.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and maritime standards.
